Other coats

At CEPSA we have designed emulsions specially indicated for the following ancillary coatings:

    Priming

A prime coat is defined as the application of a bituminous emulsion on a granular layer to the placement on it of any type of bituminous mix or bituminous treatment. The emulsions recommended for this application comply with the specifications of the General Technical Specifications for Road Works and Bridges (PG-3) and/or those contained in the UNE-EN 13808 (cationic) and UNE 51603 (anionic) standards.

    Protection Coat

Protection and sealing coats are based on the application of a low-binder-content bituminous emulsion on an existing coat, followed by the spreading of a fine aggregate in order to protect and/or waterproof its surface.

    Geotextile impregnation

Consists of the use of modified bituminous emulsions with a high binder content for use in addition to the application of geotextiles in order to guarantee the waterproofing of the subgrade on which they are applied and to avoid the reflection of cracks in the upper layers of the pavement.
